Emily and Tyler Waltemeye'r’s Girdwood, Alaska Elopement

“In marriage the little things are the big things. It is never being too old to hold hands. It is always remembering to say I love you at least once a day. It is never going to sleep angry. It is standing together and facing the world. It is speaking words of appreciation and demonstrating gratitude in thoughtful ways. It is having the capacity to forgive and forget. It is giving an atmosphere in which each can grow. It is a common search for the good and the beautiful. It is not marrying the right person, but being the right partner”.

Wowowow did I love that part of the ceremony. Such profound, meaningful words to reflect on. Emily & Tyler did long distance (and still are) for years and have overcome so many hurdles together & I just loved these words Erin shared during their ceremony, because it is so perfect.

I had the opportunity to meet up with Emily and Tyler for some coffee before their wedding day, all business talk aside and it was so sweet to get to know them on a deeper level and have them become more like friends than clients. It really allowed me to take a deeper dive into their day & allowed for more intimate moments in their film. People are such an incredible blessing and it’s so beautiful to see how two different souls can come together and create so much love, goodness, and beauty. I am forever so thankful that people allow me into the most vulnerable & intimate aspects of their lives to create something truly priceless to last them forever.
